Realized seminar “Montenegro in the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration”

CEDEM, in cooperation with the German Konrad Adenauer Stiftung – KAS, in the period 6-7. June 2014, at the hotel “Sentido-Tara” in Becici, organized a seminar on: Montenegro in the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

It is a project that CEDEM and the German Konrad Adenauer Foundation have been successfully implementing for many years, and as of this year, a new partner in the project is the Center for European Studies in Brussels. The seminar was organized for about 30 students of the Faculty of Political Sciences in Podgorica and representatives of young political parties, and aimed to raise awareness and expand knowledge among young people about key aspects and importance of Euro-Atlantic integration.

The seminar was opened by Mr. Nenad Koprivica, Executive Director of CEDEM, Mr. Panos Tasiopoulos from the Wilfried Martens Center for European Studies in Brussels and Ms. Sanija Sljivancanin from the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. Lecturers at the seminar were Mr. Milivoje Jurišić, Secretary of the Negotiating Group for the Negotiations on the Accession of Montenegro to the European Union, Mr. André Lys, Head of the Operational Department of the Delegation of the European Union to Montenegro, prof. Dr. Gordana Đurović, Professor at the Faculty of Economics in Podgorica, Colonel Dr. Mehmedin Tahirović from the Ministry of Defense of Montenegro and Olaf Poeschke, Deputy Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Montenegro.
