New competition for small grants in the field of rule of law

COMPETITION

for the award of small grants to civil society organizations in order to support the achievement of a higher level of democracy and the rule of law in Montenegro, with a focus on judicial reform.

Project proposals worth 5,000.00 euros to 8,000.00 euros can be submitted no later than March 30, 2019 (23:59). The total budget for the distribution of funds is 32,128.00 euros. The projects will be implemented in order to support the current judicial reform in Montenegro by increasing the participation of the civil sector in the monitoring of trials and / or the policy-making process, which will improve the level of professionalism and integrity in the judiciary.

The right to participate in this competition have civil society organizations that meet the following criteria:

  • that they are registered as citizens’ associations at least one year before the deadline for submitting project proposals in this competition;
  • to be based in Montenegro;
  • to be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the project, with partners (if provided for in the project), and not to act as intermediaries;
  • that in the previous year they have an annual turnover of more than 10,000 EUR (in the case of part of the capacity building program). If there is a partner (s) in the project, the annual turnover of all organizations participating in the project must be cumulatively more than 10,000 EUR.

Individuals, political parties, international and foreign organizations, government institutions, religious communities do not have the right to participate in this competition. Also, beneficiaries who have signed IPA CSF contracts two or more times for project proposals (EuropeAid / 135998 / DD / ACT / ME) are not eligible applicants for this call.

Applicants are required to submit a completed application package, which consists of: Application Form, Budget Proposal and Logical Framework Matrix.
