Support for improving the efficiency and transparency of the Montenegrin judiciary

The project “Support to Improving the Efficiency and Transparency of the Work of the Montenegrin Judiciary” aims to contribute to strengthening the rule of law and the justice sector, in line with the requirements for accession to the European Union.

This project is especially aimed at: 1) Young staff in the judiciary (professional associates and judges with special emphasis on employees of the Basic Court, the High Court, the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court, the State Prosecutor’s Office and law firms); 2) Civil society actors employed in organizations involved in strengthening the rule of law, with a focus on monitoring the implementation of the benchmarks for Chapters 23; 3) Editors and journalists of local media and graduates of the study program Journalism; 4) Officials in charge of public relations in the Basic Courts in 4 municipalities; 5) Representatives of the Mediation Center of Montenegro.

Project activities will be implemented in Podgorica, Bijelo Polje, Berane, Kotor and Budva.

The project is funded by the Ministry of Justice.
