Women’s Empowerment Initiative: Education for Gender Equality!
Project “Women’s Empowerment Initiative: Education for Gender Equality!” implements CEDEM in cooperation with the Montenegrin Women’s Lobby and aims to contribute to greater respect for women’s rights and raise awareness of the lay and professional public about the importance of gender equality.
This project is especially aimed at: 1) civil society actors (women’s NGOs, employees of organizations dealing with violence against women, organizations dealing with the Roma / Egyptian population and people with disabilities); 2) young staff of state institutions (with special emphasis on the judiciary, the Police Administration, the Army of Montenegro, the Ministry of Defense, members of the Gender Equality Committee and the Security Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro, the National Security Agency); 3) young leaders of political parties in Montenegro; 4) graduates of social work, law and journalism; 5) media representatives; 6) representatives of local self-governments and local non-governmental organizations from Mojkovac, Kolašin and Bijelo Polje) 7) unemployed women and women from hard-to-employ categories from Podgorica, Mojkovac, Kolašin and Bijelo Polje).
