Civil society in the fight for efficient confiscation of criminally acquired property
The project “Civil Society in the Fight for Effective Confiscation of Criminal Assets” aims to encourage the implementation of the relevant legislative framework in this area, as well as to contribute to strengthening cooperation between civil society and judicial institutions regarding the institute of confiscation of criminal assets. The project is implemented with the support of the US Embassy in Podgorica, June 2015 – June 2016. Key project activities include: initial meetings with stakeholders, analysis of the legislative and institutional framework, monitoring the work of courts and prosecutors in terms of temporary and permanent confiscation of proceeds. crime and corruption, organizing trainings for representatives of NGOs, media and judiciary, as well as the final press conference to present the results of the project.
