Meeting of the Anti-Corruption Committee and NGO representatives
Today in the Parliament of Montenegro was organized the first consultative meeting of the President of the Anti-Corruption Committee, Mr. Predrag Bulatovic and Deputy President, Mr. Obrad Mišo Stanišić, with representatives of NGOs dealing with corruption and organized crime. CEMI, the Institute of Alternatives, the Center for Civic Education, the Center for Political Education and the Civic Alliance. The meeting was dedicated to discussing the possibilities for improving cooperation between the Committee and non-governmental organizations, but also current issues related to the prosecution of corruption offenses and dealing with petitions submitted by citizens to this Committee. The representative of CEDEM, Marija Vuksanović, especially pointed out the importance of better normative definition of the role and scope of work of the Committee, but also cooperation with NGOs, through control and consultative hearings and consideration of NGO initiatives.
