Competition for participants of the school “Youth and the security sector
The Center for Democracy and Human Rights (CEDEM) is announcing a COMPETITION FOR participants in the “Youth and Security Sector” school
The school is realized through the project “Meeting modern security challenges: education and participation of young people”, supported by the Commission for the distribution of part of the income from games of chance.
The aim of the school is to contribute to improving the level of information and improving the knowledge of young people about the position and participation of young people in the security sector. Also, the goal of the school is to build young people’s knowledge of key aspects of the concept of human security, including democratic civilian control; contemporary security threats, such as terrorism and religious extremism, as well as the relationship between the concept of security and the protection of privacy and dignity.
The school is especially focused on: a) students of law, political science and journalism; b) trainees and junior officials employed in state institutions (Parliament of Montenegro; Army of Montenegro; Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior; Agency for Personal Data Protection and Free Access to Information); c) young leaders of political parties in Montenegro; and e) young civil society actors.
Predavači su predstavnici državnih institucija, nezavisni stručnjaci i profesionalna vojna lica.
School will be held 5-6. February, at the Palace Hotel in Petrovac. All participants of the school are provided with accommodation in a hotel on a full board basis and transportation in both directions.
