Competition for small grants in the field of rule of law

for the award of small grants to non-governmental organizations with the aim of supporting the achievement of a higher level of democracy and the rule of law in Montenegro, with a focus on judicial reform
Project proposals worth 5,000.00 euros to 8,000.00 euros can be submitted no later than October 20, 2018 (23:59). The total budget for the distribution of funds is 48,000.00 euros. The projects will be implemented in order to support the current judicial reform in Montenegro by increasing the participation of the civil sector in the monitoring of trials and / or the policy-making process, which will improve the level of professionalism and integrity in the judiciary.
The right to participate in this competition have NGOs registered in accordance with the Law on Non-Governmental Organizations that meet the following criteria:
- that they are registered as citizens’ associations at least one year before the deadline for submitting project proposals in this competition;
- to be based in Montenegro;
- to be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the project, with partners (if provided for in the project), and not to act as intermediaries;
- to have an annual turnover of more than EUR 10,000 (in case it is part of a capacity building program).
Individuals, political parties, international and foreign organizations, government institutions, religious communities do not have the right to participate in this competition. Also, beneficiaries who have signed contracts within the IPA CSF call for proposals (EuropeAid / 135998 / DD / ACT / ME) are not eligible applicants for this call.
