
Initiative sent to the Supreme State Prosecutor’s Office
A group of non-governmental organizations submitted an initiative to the Supreme State Prosecutor’s Office, demanding that the Basic State Prosecutor in Bijelo Polje repeat the investigation in the case of Nenad Zecevic from Bijelo Polje.
Namely, Action for Human Rights, Center for Antidiscrimination – Equista, Center for Democracy and Human Rights (CEDEM), Center for Civic Education, Center for Development of Non-Governmental Organizations, Institute of Alternatives (IA), Legal Center Podgorica and Association of Youth with Disabilities of Montenegro submitted an initiative to the Supreme State Prosecutor’s Office, demanding from the Basic State Prosecutor in Bijelo Polje to repeat the investigation in the case of Nenad Zecevic from Bijelo Polje, who is accused of a serious crime against public traffic safety. On this occasion, Mr. Samir Guberinić was injured, and his six-year-old son Ismail died as a result of an accident at the Clinical Center of Montenegro on September 23, 2013. The initiative was submitted on the basis of significant shortcomings and irregularities that occurred during the processing of this traffic accident, which the above-mentioned NGOs identified during the examination of materials related to this case, and which they explained in detail in the initiative submitted to the Supreme State Prosecutor.
