CEDEM organized the first training within the project: Strengthening the Montenegrin asylum system and migration management
CEDEM is at the Queen of Montenegro Hotel in Bečići, 12/13. In December, organized the first training within the project Strengthening the Montenegrin Asylum and Migration Management System, which aims to contribute to the development of mixed migration management policies in Montenegro and promote greater participation of NGOs and media in the adoption and implementation of these policies. The project is being implemented with the support of the Rockefeller Brothers Foundation.
The participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with asylum and migration management policies in the context of Montenegro’s accession to the European Union, especially with the procedures and regulations concerning the asylum procedure and treatment of illegal migrants, safe country and country of origin concepts and other issues. which are important for the effective protection of migrants and asylum seekers. Special attention was paid to the presentation of cases from practice, both Montenegrin and the practice of countries in the region (Serbia).
