Strengthening the role of young people in the NATO integration process
The project “Strengthening the role of young people in the NATO integration process” aims to increase awareness of young people about security sector reform in Montenegro through their active participation in the public debate on the requirements, challenges and benefits of NATO membership.
The project is implemented with the support of the Commission for the distribution of income from games of chance and is especially aimed at: 1) high school students; 2) members of school debate and rhetoric clubs, 3) young people in local communities, especially in the northern region. The end users of this project are all citizens of Montenegro.

The main activities of the project are: establishing cooperation with schools (debate clubs and school parliaments) and local institutions; selection of members of the “youth working group” (16 members) who will be the bearer of the public debate on NATO integration, training of members of the “youth working group” on strengthening the role of young people in NATO integration and increasing their awareness of collective security threats; preparation and printing of promotional material on NATO integration; organizing and implementing a public campaign / debate on the requirements and benefits of NATO membership as well as the impact of NATO integration on the local population, especially young people.
Project activities will be implemented in Podgorica, Berane, Rozaje and Bijelo Polje.
