Strengthening the dialogue between the judiciary and the civil sector on the efficiency of judicial proceedings
With the support of the US Embassy in Podgorica, the Civic Alliance and CEDEM have launched a project aimed at analyzing certain court verdicts in criminal cases, to identify key factors affecting the efficiency and fairness of trials in Montenegro.
The project will involve several courts in Bijelo Polje and Podgorica, as well as the Court of Appeals of Montenegro. Project activities will include the collection, analysis and presentation of available data on case law in criminal matters. The project is a continuation of the initiatives implemented by GA and CEDEM with the aim of contributing to further judicial reform and meeting the criteria for full membership of Montenegro in the European Union.
