Training on asylum and irregular migration for state administration representatives
On 14 and 15 May, CEDEM organized a training on international standards and jurisprudence in the field of asylum and irregular migration at the Sentido Tara Hotel in Bečići for representatives of the general police, the border police, the Asylum Directorate and the Refugee Administration.
The training covered the basics of refugee law, universal standards for the protection of migrants within the UN system and the Single European Asylum System, as well as standards for the protection of migrants within the Council of Europe. Also, the participants of the training exchanged experiences regarding the treatment of migrants at the border. The training was realized in cooperation with the Dutch Refugee Center, within the project Capacity Building of the Montenegrin Asylum System and Irregular Migration Management, which was supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Belgrade.
