European Court of Justice Case Law – Right to Freedom of Expression
In collaboration with the AIRE Center in London, CEDEM has published a Handbook of the European Court of Human Rights: Article 10 of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, Right to Freedom of Expression. The development and printing of the Handbook was financially supported by the British Embassy in Podgorica.
The handbook discusses two intertwined rights protected by the European Convention: the right to freedom of expression protected by Article 10 of the Convention and the right to privacy protected by Article 8. It also outlines key aspects of the relationship between the right to freedom of expression and the right to a fair trial, with an overview of specific cases from the case law of the European Court.
