
Invitation to participate in the “Active Citizens” program
The Center for the Development of Non-Governmental Organizations (CRNVO), the Center for Democracy and Human Rights (CEDEM) and the Center for Economic Prosperity and Freedom (CEPS), in cooperation with the British Council, invite all interested parties to participate in the ACTIVE CITIZENS program.
ACTIVE CITIZENS IS A SOCIAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM THAT PROMOTES INTERCULTURAL DIALOGUE AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AS KEY COMPETENCES OF LEADERSHIP IN THE 21ST CENTURY. The program aims to develop basic skills and competences for young people in the Western Balkans to improve its chances of employment and creating better life, engaging in their communities to improve the responsibility and creating positive social changes.
ACTIVE CITIZENS is a global program of the British Council that is implemented in cooperation with civil society organizations around the world. It was launched in 2009 and to date more than 210,000 people from the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Americas have participated. The vision of the program is a world in which young people recognize their potential and try to engage with others in order to develop their communities locally and internationally. The Active Citizens program is implemented in over 50 countries around the world in cooperation with state institutions and local partners.
The program promotes community-led social development by building trust within and between communities and key actors. It motivates community members to take responsibility for their social needs by providing them with the necessary knowledge, skills, experience and networking.
IF YOU WANT TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY AND COME FROM BIJELO POLJE, MOJKOVAC AND BERAN, WE INVITE YOU TO APPLY FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE PROGRAM.
The program provides for a three-day training for representatives of the following local communities:

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Tuesday, February 27, 2018. (until 4 pm).
All those who want to work on improving the lives of people in the community in which they live can apply to participate in the ACTIVE CITIZENS program, including representatives of:
young people (the condition for participation in the program is that you have reached the age of 18)
civil society organizations,
marginalized groups,
religious communities,
univerziteta,
schools,
sports clubs,
local and national authorities
political parties,
social enterprises and
artistic and other professional associations.
One of the goals of the program is to ensure networking of individuals, organizations and institutions, as well as to support cross-sectoral cooperation with the business community, media and the scientific community, in order to improve social inclusion, social development and community resilience to conflict.
