CEDEM held a National Forum on fight against discrimination against persons with disabilities

The Center for Democracy and Human Rights (CEDEM) has conducted a National Forum on the topic of “Multisectoral Approach to Prohibiting Discrimination against persons with disabilities (PWDs)” aimed at bringing together relevant participants, representatives of the media, NGOs, the judiciary, ministries and local governments to discuss on challenges, achievements, obstacles, but also future perspectives of protection against discrimination against persons with disabilities.

The National Forum was held on December 21 and 22, 2020 at the Bianca Hotel in Kolašin. Expert moderators of the National Forum were Siniša Bjeković, Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms of Montenegro and Dunja Samardžić, trainer in the field of accessibility.

In addition, promotional films about theatrical interactive workshops and PWD rights were shown at the National Forum, which were realized in high schools in Kolašin, Bijelo Polje and Mojkovac, in cooperation with ATAK.

The National Forum was held as part of the project “Multisectoral approach to the protection of the rights and fundamental freedoms of persons with disabilities”, which was supported by the Ministry of Justice, Human and Minority Rights.
