ANNOUNCEMENT: Broadcasting a film about unjustified detention within the series Process
Within the project “Strengthening the role of the media in improving criminal justice in Montenegro”, TV Prva in cooperation with CEDEM broadcasts documentaries in order to raise public awareness about the functioning of criminal justice through the series PROCESS.
The project aims to contribute to strengthening the capacity of the media in Montenegro to report on criminal justice, by increasing the quality and credibility of investigative journalism in this area.
Based on the request for compensation for unjustified detention in the last six years, only in accordance with the agreements with the Ministry of Justice, 325,900 euros were paid. That is why other types of security, such as bail or bail, are not used instead of detention, bearing in mind that the last measure for securing a defendant in criminal proceedings should be detention, which is our first measure – see the new film “Unjustified Detention”.
