Call for participants of the “Civic and Political Participation of Young People” Academy
Center for Democracy and Human Rights – CEDEM is implementing a project “Civic and Political Participation of Young People” with financial support by the Hanns Seidel Foundation.
In order to encourage active involvement in decision-making processes, policy making and their implementation in areas important for the lives of young people, and in order to improve knowledge and skills of young people on the ways of participating in decision-making processes and improving the knowledge about and dialogue of young people with the institutions, CEDEM will, in cooperation with the most relevant experts, along with the representatives of the executive power and the representatives of different embassies, hold the “Civic and Political Participation of Young People” Academy from 14th to 17th of December at the Bianca Hotel in Kolašin.
In addition to the lecturers, Ministers in the Government of Montenegro and representatives of different embassies will take part in the Academy. The participants will thus have the opportunity to discuss and ask questions to the Ministers related to their respective competences as well as to hear examples of good practice in relation to civic and political participation of young people through lectures and discussions with the ambassadors.
The call is open for young people aged 17 to 30 that are:
- representatives of the political parties (youth councils, youth wings of the political parties, etc.);
- representatives of the organizations of the civil society;
- representatives of the student parliaments of University of Montenegro, University of Donja Gorica, and Mediterranean University;
- students of all universities in Montenegro.
CEDEM will cover participation, food and logging, and travels expenses.
To apply, it is necessary to send a short motivation letter with basic personal data (in one document) to the e-mail address marko.pejovic@cedem.me no later than December 8, 2021 by 12:00h, marked “Application for the Academy”. Selected candidates who are chosen will receive e-mail notifications regarding their participation and the agenda by December 10, 2021.
