Strengthening case law in the fight against discrimination
Cedem, together with the Institute for Legal Studies, organized a conference entitled: Strengthening Judicial Practice in the Fight against Discrimination, on July 6 in Podgorica.
The aim of the one-day conference was to bring together legal experts, representatives of state institutions, judges and prosecutors, as well as representatives of international and non-governmental organizations, to encourage constructive dialogue on the application of anti-discrimination standards in Montenegro and possible changes. to harmonize domestic legislation with the standards of the European Court of Human Rights.
The conference also served to promote and present the key results of research on discrimination and analysis of domestic case law in the field of discrimination, implemented within the project Improving the practice of the Constitutional Court of Montenegro in terms of protection against discrimination.
The conference was organized with the support of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Montenegro.
