CEDEM / PHIREN AMENCA: Press release on the occasion of the International Roma Day
On April 8, 2015, the International Roma Day will be celebrated for the 43rd time, a holiday established with the aim of drawing public attention to the difficult situation of this nation.
NGO ROM “Walk with us – Phiren Amenca” with the support of the NGO Forum MNE iCenter for Democracy and Human Rights (CEDEM) on April 8 will mark the International Roma Day at the Dadex Sports Center and on that occasion organize a football match called “Sport against racism” for 65 young Roma and non-Roma.
In a press release, CEDEM and Phiren Amenza warn of continued high levels of discrimination and prejudice against Roma men and women, as well as weak developments in housing and employment.
