CEDEM announces a competition for students of the school “Gender and Security”

COMPETITION FOR PARTICIPANTS OF THE SCHOOL “GENDER AND SECURITY”

The Center for Democracy and Human Rights (CEDEM) is announcing a competition for students of the “Gender and Security” school.

The school is being implemented within the project “Women’s Empowerment Initiative: Education for Gender Equality”, which CEDEM is implementing in partnership with the Montenegrin Women’s Lobby (CZL), and with the support of the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights.

The aim of the school is to contribute to greater respect for women’s rights and raise awareness of the importance of gender equality, by introducing students to gender equality policy and the importance of women’s representation in senior and managerial positions. The school also aims to strengthen the professional capacity to take special measures to achieve gender equality, bearing in mind that it is intended for young professionals from various fields.

The school is especially focused on:

  1. students of law, political science and journalism;
  2. young civil servants employed in state institutions;
  3. young leaders of political parties in Montenegro and
  4. young civil society actors.

In addition, we encourage young people from the field of natural sciences to apply for participation in the School!

The lecturers are national and regional experts, as well as representatives of the Montenegrin security sector.

The school will be held in the period from September 16 to October 16, 2019 in Podgorica, in the afternoon. The number of participants is limited to 20. All participants upon completion of the School, receive a certificate and the right to participate in other project activities.
