CEDEM at the opening of the Center for Accommodation of Asylum Seekers
The representative of CEDEM, Marija Vuksanović, attended today’s opening of the Center for Accommodation of Asylum Seekers, which was organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare and the EU Delegation to Montenegro.
The center is a special organizational unit of the Refugee Administration, located in Spuž and has an accommodation capacity of 65 places, with the possibility of increasing the capacity to 100 places. CEDEM welcomes the opening of the Center, pointing out the importance of organizing trainings for persons who come into contact with potential asylum seekers, but also the need to improve the conditions of alternative accommodation, because it is certain that given the limited accommodation capacity, the Center will not be able to all asylum seekers in Montenegro.
