Improving local media practices in the fight against corruption and organized crime

The aim of the project is to contribute to the Euro-Atlantic integration of Montenegro, by increasing the quality and credibility of investigative journalism in the field of corruption and organized crime.

The purpose of the project is to strengthen the capacity of local journalists, which would result in a more professional approach to the research process and more credible reporting in the field of corruption and organized crime. The project will cover 10 journalists in the municipalities of Pljeva, Kotor, Ulcinj, Bijelo Polje and Bar. Their work will, in the end, be framed by research stories and articles on corruption and organized crime in 5 cities.

The specific goal of the project is face-to-face consultations, trainings, as well as the preparation of the Guide to Investigative Journalism at the local level and the final press conference.

The media project “Improving the Practices of Local Media in the Fight against Corruption and Organized Crime” is being implemented with the financial support of the US Embassy in Montenegro through the Media Professionalization Program.
