A two-day seminar on Montenegro’s accession to the EU and the functioning of the EU was held

CEDEM organized a traditional two-day seminar for students on Montenegro’s accession to the EU and the functioning of the EU “EU AND ENLARGEMENT POLICY: MONTENEGRO IN THE EU INTEGRATION PROCESS”. The lecturers were:

prof. Dr. Gordana Đurović (University of Montenegro) spoke about the EU then and now, and about Montenegro on the way to meeting the criteria for achieving full membership in the EU;

prof. Dr. Dragan Đukanović (University of Belgrade) who spoke about the EU after the elections to the European Parliament and the impact of political decisions on enlargement policy;

Nj. E. Alison Kemp, Ambassador of the United Kingdom, spoke about the Brexit case, and future steps when it comes to this case and the relations between Montenegro and the UK, but also the UK and the EU.

Nj. E. Veselko Grubišić, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Croatia, spoke about the forthcoming presidency of Croatia in the EU Council, as well as the benefits of EU membership through the example of the Republic of Croatia;
