Encouraging complete equality of society

The general goal of the project “Promoting full equality of society” is to contribute to the affirmation of the values ​​of a pluralistic and open Montenegrin society, by encouraging the protection of members of minorities and other minority national communities. The specific objective is aimed at strengthening oversight structures for the implementation of legislation on the rights of minority peoples and other minority national communities, as well as raising awareness and understanding of the rights of minority peoples and other minority national communities.

The project activities are:

1) Development of a Guide for understanding the rights of minority peoples and prevention of discriminatory behavior and combating discriminatory ethnic profiling in accordance with the new legislation;

2) Organizing training for supervisory bodies on the rights of minority peoples and other minority national communities, with a focus on the Law on the Selection, Use and Public Display of National Symbols;

3) Increase awareness and understanding of the rights of minority peoples and other minority national communities by encouraging the affirmation of the values ​​of a pluralistic and open Montenegrin society;

4) Holding a conference “One year since the adoption of the Law on the Selection, Use and Public Display of National Symbols: Results and Challenges of Implementation”;

5) Production of short multimedia content (storytelling) from the conference;

6) School for raising awareness of multiculturalism.

The project is supported by the Ministry of Justice, Human and Minority Rights.

The total value of the project is 11,974.00 EUR.
