The project is supported by the Pontis Foundation from Slovakia and the Balkan Civil Society Development Network, through the Slovak-Balkan Public Policy Fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"171\" height=\"212\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cedem.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/BCSDN.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11995\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project aims to provide an objective assessment of the ability of the Montenegrin judiciary to establish the rule of law in light of the further dynamics of Montenegro&#8217;s accession to the European Union, and to contribute to harmonizing Montenegrin case law with European legal standards. The project includes the following elements: strengthening the capacity of the organization to advocate for change in judicial reform; documenting systemic problems \/ challenges in the further implementation of judicial reform; improving cooperation between the Government and civil society organizations in the process of European integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Within this project, CEDEM will prepare and distribute a practical policy proposal that will include an analysis of the independence and impartiality of the judiciary, through the analysis of rules for the selection of judges and prosecutors and the application of the principle of random assignment of cases in Montenegrin normative framework and practice.
