Training on prevention of torture and discrimination of prisoners was held for representatives of the Ombudsperson Institution

On April 9 and 10, CEDEM held a two-day training for members of the Ombudsman’s team in the field of prevention of torture and discrimination against prisoners in Bijelo Polje. The training was attended by 3 Deputy Ombudsmen and 9 independent advisors.

Lecturers at the training were:

Dr. Ljiljana Jovanovic, Head of the Center for Human Rights, Faculty of Law, University of Montenegro;

Prof. Dr. Vesna Ratković, member of the GREVIO Council of Europe and full professor at the Faculty of Law, University of the Mediterranean.

This activity was implemented within the project “Support to efficient management of the mechanism of criminal sanctions in Montenegro” is funded by the Ministry of Justice – Institute for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions.
